Unusual Design
A series of unique design projects that illustrate an interdiciplinary and wildly creative mind at work...
The Three Tenors Tour Keepsake Book Client: Warner Music International. Along with directing a very fine group of craftsman, we designed and produced a limited edition of twelve photo album keepsake books in honor of the "3 Tenors" World Tour. It was given as a commemorative gift from Warner Music International to Plácido Domingo, José Carreras, Luciano Pavarotti, as well as to conductor Zubin Mehta and other musical luminaries. Actual size: 12" x 12" x 4". Bookmakers: Carolyn Chadwick and Judith Ivry. Calligraphy by Anthony Bloch. See more Warner Music International projects.

Every designer dreams of
creating a mass-market product of their own, and with Poetry Dog Tags, Clare Ultimo was able to do just that! Published by Chronicle Books, Poetry Dog Tags can be purchased for $19.95 from bookstores and gift retailers around the world as well as online at Chronicle, Barnes and Noble and Amazon.
Friendship Tags were a version of Poetry Dog Tags for pre-teens. Ultimo created and designed these with an entirely different look for a new audience. This wearable word-play consists of 48 different phrases and words on colorful plastic tags and matching chains to “speak your mind”...BF4EVER!
